This is the main street of the Eixample area, and it has become a financial and commercial centre. It is an avenue to stroll around in where you can look and be looked at. Walking down the Passeig de Gràcia means wandering around Catalan modernism (art nouveau). From its benches and lamps (designed by Gaudi) to the majority of its buildings and shops, everything shows that we are in one of Europe’s big boulevards.
