Nerja: A coastal village situated 53 km from Málaga; you can visit the Balcón de Europa and its famous caves.
Mijas: A mountain village offering impressive views of the Costa del Sol and pretty little streets to be explored using the most unusual means of transport, the burro taxi, or donkey taxi.
Antequera: Located 47 km from Málaga in the heart of Andalusia, hence why it was chosen to be the Andalusian capital. Its historic area is essentially all its historic past given shape in a superbly rich collection of art made up of more than 50 singular religious/ civil monuments and buildings. Examples of this are the La Menga, Viera and Romeral dolmens and the Royal Collegiate Church of Santa María la Mayor. It is also worth visiting El Torcal Natural Park.
Ronda: 104 km from Málaga, the famous "Tajo de Ronda” - the bullring built in 1785 - is certainly worth a visit. Inside, you will find the Bullfighting Museum and the Royal Cavalry Armouries established in 1572 by Philip II - the oldest in Spain. This pretty village also has a number of churches, bridges, convents and more, which we recommend.
